Case Study - Basalt

Basaltic regions are a challenge in oil and gas exploration. The Helium survey carried out for our client Rosneft, in an area that includes the oldest oil and gas deposits of Russia, showed that the technology is effective in areas with basalt.

This is the field Tersko Kamovsky in eastern Siberia. The Helium survey was conducted in an area of 1293 km2. The tectonic fractures found through the Helium survey and the seismic previously done, coincide.

Furthermore, in the table is possible to see the results of two wells within the area studied, Tp-1 and Tp-2. They confirm the correlation between the Helium flow and the oil presence. The maps show the total area of survey and the area of wells of the table (Tp-1 and Tp-2).
